B8 Real Estate makes series of senior promotions

John Burrows and Will Kenyon are now directors at the industrial property agency, while Anthony Mellor, Thomas Marriott, Alex Perratt, and Joe Sinclair have been promoted to associate director.

The promotions come at a busy time for the Warrington-based B8 Real Estate. The agency has overseen more than 2.5m sq ft of occupational transactions in the past year, as well as £200m-worth of investment deals.

Burrows is a member of the investment team at B8RE, which he joined in 2014 from GVA (now Avison Young). Kenyon is part of the leasing group. He joined B8RE from Cushman & Wakefield in 2020.

B8RE was founded in 2011 by directors Simon Wood, Steve Johnson, and Jon Thorne. Last year, the company began the shift to employee ownership.

Burrows said: “Looking forward, this is a very exciting time to be part of B8RE as the EOT progresses and we look forward to working with the founding directors to continue to provide best-in-class service across the North West occupational and investment markets.

Wood, for his part, congratulated the newly promoted team.

“We remain committed to building on our position as a leading independent force in the market and we are very excited with these deserved promotions which follow on from the EOT announcement and recognise the importance of our team and their exceptional commitment,” he said.

“B8RE’s strength lies in our expertise and personal service which in turn relies on the knowledge and work ethic of the whole team,” Wood continued.

“The new promotions continue to put our people at the heart of the business and provide a vital framework for longer-term growth and success. A massive congratulations to new directors John and Will and also to new associate Directors Alex, Anthony, Thomas and Joe.”

Some nice diversity evident in the workplace.

Looks like a photo from 2008. 9 white males all wearing suits.

By Time warp

Surely they have picked the best team regardless of ethnicity or gender

By Best in class

A great team is one made up of people with different perspectives and backgrounds. There will be missed opportunities here.

By Disappointed

At least you mixed up the blue suits with the grey.

By Savile Row

Too many people in the comments concentrating on diversity as opposed to congratulating the new directors on their promotions.

Well done to those promoted, congratulations all !

Not the firms fault there are limited numbers of people from other ethnicities/genders etc. in the talent pool. More should be done by the leading bodies like RICS who are becoming a zombie/pointless organisation.
