SP Energy Networks takes 50,000 sq ft Knowsley shed
Redsun Projects has filled Hub50 at Knowsley Business Park a little over a year after the unit completed.
Electricity Network operator SP Energy Networks has signed a 15-year on the South Boundary Road unit.
The firm is currently undertaking its final fit-out of the EPC A-rated building ready for occupation.
Derek Fairbairn, SP Energy Networks district general manager, said: “We’re really excited to be moving into our new home in Knowsley, with modern, efficient facilities to support our teams as they work to deliver the multi-million investment that will give our customers across Merseyside the safe, secure and reliable network they need as demand for electricity increases.
“We’re investing and recruiting at a rate of knots and this new facility will support and sustain our operations and growth for years to come.”
The scheme forms part of a wider scheme Redsun has delivered in partnership with Knowsley Council. Phase one comprised a 50,000 sq ft trade counter development let to tenants including Howdens Joinery and SCIS.
B8 Real Estate and CPP acted as joint agents on the SP Energy letting.

The principal contractor for Hub50 was Portal Construction NW. The wider project team included AEW, Link Engineering, Langton Development Services, and KGA.
