Avalere Health takes 6,000 sq ft at No1 Circle Square
Specialising in healthcare strategy and analytics, the firm is expanding as it moves into Bruntwood SciTech’s Manchester office building from Cheshire.
Bruntwood SciTech, a joint venture between Bruntwood, Legal & General and Greater Manchester Pension Fund, is billed as the UK’s largest property platform dedicated to growing the nation’s innovation economy.
Avalere, a long-term Bruntwood customer, has now moved into its bespoke space at Circle Square, having initially had a period in temporary space at the building. The firm was advised by Cushman & Wakefield.
Other occupiers at the project include HPE, Mills & Reeve, Roku, BlueSkeye AI and Oyster Ventures.
The summer topping out of the £87m No. 3 Circle Square will bring a further 267,000 sq ft to the Oxford Road cluster when GMI delivers the scheme, completion being expected in April next year.
Josh Whiteley, commercial director for Bruntwood SciTech, said: “Avalere Health’s move to Circle Square is a great reflection of their commitment to driving innovation and growth. Circle Square is designed to support ambitious businesses like Avalere, offering them access to a fast-growing tech community and the collaborative environment they need to succeed.
“Being part of our ecosystem means they’ll benefit from proximity to industry leaders and the wealth of talent and expertise within Manchester’s tech, healthcare and digital sectors.”
Nick Holmes, vice-president of employee experience, Avalere Health, said: “Our new home at Circle Square is perfectly positioned as we continue to look to grow our talent base in Manchester, the space is wonderful and will be a big asset for our employee value proposition moving forward.”
In the past 12 months Bruntwood SciTech has invested more than £314m in Manchester, Birmingham, Leeds and Liverpool, bringing 1.45 million sq ft of workspace to market for innovation-led businesses, with these projects including the West Village complex in Leeds.
