Assura hands over Wirral surgery

The healthcare property developer has completed a £3m medical centre in Brackenwood Road, Bebington.

The 14,350 sq ft centre will contain two local GP practices: Kings Lane Medical Centre and Church Road Medical Centre. The site includes an integrated pharmacy, to be run by Averroes Pharmacy.

Assura developed the centre in partnership with LSP Developments. Architect West Hart Partnership designed the scheme. WH Snow was the building contractor.

Amanda Roddy, development manager of Assura, said: "The Bebington Medical Centre will consolidate a wide range of the community's healthcare needs into one convenient building, improving the patients' experience and increasing the quality of care in the area."

Liverpool City Council’s cabinet is expected to approve an outline strategy, the Housing and Sites Delivery Programme, which targets the building of more than 11,000 homes, as well as bringing more than 10,000 vacant properties back into use.
