Anwyl, Lovell picked for £200m framework

Your Housing Group has appointed the housebuilders to a partner framework to help meet its target of delivering 600 homes a year over the next four years.

Over the course of the framework period, Anwyl Partnerships and Lovell Homes will construct up to five projects a year across the north of England, valued between £10m and £20m.

The framework was created in order to facilitate the expansion of Your Housing Group’s private rented sector across the North West, Yorkshire and the Midlands.

Both firms have experience in delivering projects for registered housing providers.

North Wales-based Anwyl Partnerships is working with developer Torus to deliver around 200 homes on the site of the former Rock Ferry High School in Wirral and last December, the firm completed 31 affordable apartments in Colwyn Bay for Welsh housing association Clwyd Alyn.

Lovell is involved in joint ventures with Trafford Housing Trust and Together Housing Group, developing 188 homes on a 25-acre site in Lancashire’s Ribble Valley, and a 650-unit regeneration scheme in Pendelton, respectively.

Your Housing Group is progressing plans for up to 1,000 homes at the former Jackson’s Brickworks site in Newton Heath, as well as 216 homes on the site of former warehouses on Edge Lane in Openshaw.

Richard Jones, director of growth for Your Housing Group, said: “Following a thorough procurement exercise, we are excited to be moving forward with Anwyl Partnerships on our construction framework, supporting our development programme over the next four years.

“It is another step forward in delivering our ambitious growth and construction plans to deliver affordable housing across the region, and this framework will enable us to work more strategically, efficiently and deliver the better outcomes.”

Tom Anwyl, managing director of Anwyl Partnerships, said: “Your Housing Group is an aspirational and ambitious organisation in terms of its construction programmes over the coming four years.

“We look forward to working closely with the team and supporting them in the delivery of various projects, while creating much-needed quality and affordable homes across the regions.”

Lovell was contacted for comment.
