Anwyl proposes 135-home Flintshire scheme
A pre-application consultation for the affordable development has begun and will run for 25 days.
Plans for the 13-acre site at Bryn Y Baal in New Brighton have been submitted by planning consultant SATPLAN to Flintshire County Council on behalf of Anwyl Homes.
The proposed tenure split of the 135 homes would be 90% social rent and 10% low-cost home ownership.
A mix of house types, including bungalows, flats, and houses would be provided.
There would be 12 one-bed apartments, eight single-bed bungalows, and six two-bed bungalows.
Across 109 proposed two-storey houses, 61 would be two-beds, 41 would be three-beds, and eight would have four bedrooms.
Three acres of public open space, designed by TPM Landscape, would also be provided, as well as parking provisions for 272 cars.
Anwyl Homes’ application states the project’s vision is to create a “sustainable urban extension for New Brighton”.
The project’s team includes Astle Planning and Design, Urban Design Group, Focus Transport, Coopers, E3P, UES, and Redmore Environmental.
What a terrible layout, tiny gardens and no garages/parking and too many houses all rammed in. Affordable houses shouldn’t be low quality rabbit hutches especially in a rural setting.
