Anwyl expands Northop Hall project
Flintshire-based Anwyl Homes has secured planning permission for 25 homes on a 1.9-acre site, next the borders of existing development Parc St Mary’s in Northop Hall.
The scheme will include two, three, and four-bedroom detached and semi-detached homes which Anwyl said offer views of the Welsh countryside. According to Anwyl, the next phase will appeal to a range of purchasers including young professionals, first time buyers, as well as families.
Housing managing director, Mathew Anwyl, said that the “semi-rural lifestyle” of the area was “one of the many reasons why the previous phases sold well”.
Anwyl is set to make various section 106 contributions, which are legal agreements between local authorities and developers, including a £73,800 donation to Hawarden High School to help with new hard standing areas for games and tennis courts.
A further £27,500 will be given to Llys Ben recreation ground to cover the cost of a multi-use games area, and £46,250 will go towards off-site mitigation measures for the preservation of great crested newts, which local planning authorities are required to take account of when considering developments.
Construction is due to start in September, coinciding with the re-opening of an updated showhome. Prices have not yet been confirmed.
