Another nuclear firm signs in Birchwood
Sellafield supplier CSE Controls, a provider of safety systems for the energy market, has opened a 3,000 sq ft office in Birchwood Park, Warrington.
The new premises in Chadwick House put CSE among a cluster of nuclear companies in Birchwood that includes the Nuclear Decommissioning Authority, Nuvia and Amec among others.
CSE Controls is part of CSE Global, a Singapore-headquartered technology group with over 1,700 staff and a turnover of £230m.
Steve Hughes, director of CSE Controls, said: "Nuclear safety has always been the overriding component governing our industry and with the shift in current base workload to include new build, there is a more pressing need for professional and technical advice and guidance in this critical area. The team at Birchwood has a proven track record in nuclear safety and has been hand-picked for their knowledge and expertise."
Jonathan Walsh, managing director of MEPC Birchwood Park, added: "We are delighted to welcome such a thriving business to Birchwood Park. As Birchwood continues to establish itself as the most successful business community in Warrington, its amenities continue to allow companies to attract and retain staff."
