Anglesey to sign off industrial estate expansion

Plans for 10 industrial units totalling 30,000 sq ft at Penrhos Industrial Estate in Anglesey are set to go ahead after the proposals were recommended for approval by Ynys Mon Council planners.

The four-acre brownfield site, next to the Morrison’s supermarket off the A55 in Penhros, will house 10 industrial units aimed at distribution, storage, and other industrial use. These will be developed, managed, and let by the council.

The proposals for the site, which is earmarked for employment use by the council, also include parking for 61 vehicles, and access will be via the North Wales Expressway.

Retail development at the site was carried out in 2003, while a number of industrial units were built in 2005. These are typically 4,000 sq ft in size.

Ynys Mon Council is due to discuss the proposals on 4 April.
