Ambitious Ridge partners with Place to expand in North
“Place has built a genuinely trusted presence across the North, and that regional depth matters to us as we grow our own footprint here,” said Mark Dewhurst, Manchester partner at Ridge.
Ridge and Place will work together to produce a series of filmed roundtables across the North. Ridge, a multidisciplinary group offering a range of services, is also taking a senior spot at MIPIM 2027 as part of the North of England delegation. Mark Dewhurst and Andrew McNaghten, Ridge’s Leeds partner, will attend the show in Cannes next year.
Dewhurst added: “This is our first year partnering with Place, and it’s a natural fit. We wanted a partner who understands the market as well as we do.
“We’ve got big ambitions for the North, and this partnership gives us a strong platform to tell that story – the projects, the people, and the growth still to come.”

Ridge’s projects in the North include residential for Greater Manchester Pension Fund, 700 homes in Ardwick for a private landowner, and a primary school in Barrow. In Leeds, Ridge is working on Prescient Capital’s £60m, 80,000 sq ft grade A office at 31 Wellington Street.
