AG launches sustainability service

A reported surge in demand has led AG Project + Building Consultancy to expand its offerings to clients to include advice on EPC assessments, retrofitting, BREEAM certification and more.

Gemma Cornwall is heading up the service for the company, which has offices in Manchester, Preston and Sheffield.

Cornwall is a building surveyor and has worked on projects for Boohoo, Futures Housing Group and Lancaster City Council.

“Sustainability has long been discussed, but now it is a central focus for all of our clients,” Cornwall said.

Cornwall noted that over the past 18 months AG had seen more and more of an interest in pursuing sustainable development.

“As a strategy in managing properties, it was largely on the periphery, but it is now very much the central issue,” she said. “The climate agenda has certainly acted as a key catalyst, but with rising energy costs, it has placed the subject very much at the top of the agenda.”

AG, formerly known as Anderton Gables, has made 2022 a year of change, appointing Catherine Newton as director of its housing division and Paul Westhead as the head of its development division.
