Aedas toasts first decade with solid results

Aedas, which employs 100 architects in its Manchester office, reported a pre-tax profit of £12.8m on total global revenue of £158.8m in 2011.

The Manchester office is engaged on projects in the UK, Europe, Middle, East and Asia. In the North West, the practice recently delivered the Greater Manchester Police Headquarters and Darwen Academy.

Brian Johnson, European chairman of Aedas, said: "Although we are operating in difficult economic conditions, our business model allows us to focus effort and resources on key growth markets. On the basis of our continued success in these markets and strong order book, we expect to deliver positive growth figures for 2012 and 2013."

Aedas celebrated its tenth anniversary in 2012 and has 32 offices and around 2,000 employees worldwide.
