Ryan takes 32,000 sq ft at MediaCity

The tax advisory firm has inked one of the largest deals at Salford Quays this year and will relocate from Oakland House in Trafford.

Ryan Property Tax Services UK has signed a 10-year lease on 32,000 sq ft on the sixth and tenth floors within Orange Tower at Landsec’s MediaCity.

The deal means the 267,000 sq ft building is now fully let. Other occupiers in Orange include ITV, Kellogg’s, Intelligent Lending, the University of Salford, Red Bee Media, and Horwich Farrelly.

Tim Wyer, asset manager at MediaCity said the deal is a “powerful endorsement” of the MediaCity ecosystem.

“The letting signals continued investment and confidence in MediaCity as a thriving economic hub,” he said.

Tom Shave, president of European and Asia-Pacific operations at Ryan said the space would be home to 300 staff from early next year.

“As client demand fuels our growth, this expansion positions us to attract and retain top talent while creating an exceptional environment to foster stronger connections with our clients,” he added.

Canning O’Neill brokered the deal and Consensus Workspace has been selected to provide Ryan’s fit-out.

John Nash, director at Canning O’Neill said: “We’re delighted to have brokered this landmark 32,080 sq. ft letting at MediaCity and to welcome Ryan Property Tax Services UK to the scheme.

“Since acquiring MediaCity in November 2024, Landsec have shown real ambition, and this latest deal reflects the significant potential they are unlocking.”

Great letting, but how does a tax advisory firm fit into a media / digital ecosystem? (And a law firm – same question). Seems like a significant dilution of the original concept?!
