TMP signs new members

The Mersey Partnership has secured new corporate members including Carillion, Peel Land & Property, Solen Energy UK, and the Royal Institute of British Architects.

TMP said its membership has grown to include over 500 private and public organisations from across the Liverpool city region to form an alliance, pooling resources and expertise to stimulate economic growth.

Members are from sectors including business and professional services, engineering, technology and manufacturing.

Other new corporate members include Cammell Laird; Dairy Crest; DWF LLP, KPMG, Interserve, Mazars, and Unilever.

Austin Bell, operations director at Carillion, said: "We have a long history in Liverpool and have joined The Mersey Partnership to explore the wider regional networks involved in the development of both the knowledge quarter surrounding the development of the Royal Liverpool University Hospital site and the low carbon economy, as well as ensuring we understand the wider city and region economic development strategies. We look forward to meeting with other TMP members to see how we can work together on these regionally and economically important work programmes."

Lindsey Ashworth, director of Peel Land & Property, added: "TMP has recently been actively working with us in promoting the Peel International Trade Centre scheme for Wirral in South Korea and they have a well-established relationship with Peel Ports. We recognise the value that TMP brings to both the City Region and to Peel through its work in the 4 key growth sectors of SuperPort, Low Carbon Economy, Knowledge Economy and Visitor Economy.
