Work begins on £4.2m Altrincham office to resi scheme

Residential developer Merepark Homes has started on site on an office-to-residential conversion, which it says is the first of its kind in Altrincham.

The Victoria Apartments scheme on Victoria Road is made up of 28 apartments, with a mix of studio, one and two bedrooms. The properties are being marketed by estate agency the Property Perspective. Completion is anticipated to be within the next 12 months.

John Jarvis, managing director of the Property Perspective, said: "This latest instruction is indeed a very exciting project and all part of the regeneration of Altrincham and the town centre. The standard of these apartments is excellent and we have already sold several and have received a number of enquiries.

"Clearly this is the way forward for developers. Clients are telling us that they would like affordable housing in our town centres, we are confident that this redevelopment will be the start of several similar projects within our town centre."
