WG welcomes third partner, rebrands as WGM
Dan Metcalf has become a partner at the property consultancy Aaron Webb and Matthew Godwin set up in 2022.
Metcalf’s decision to leave his shares at former employer AG Built Environment Consultancy and link up with university friends Webb and Godwin sees the firm rebrand from WG to WGM.
Shares in the business, based in Ashton but seeking to relocate to Manchester city centre, are split evenly between the trio.
Metcalf was previously a senior building surveyor at Hollis before moving to AG, where he rose to head of commercial. Webb and Godwin both left Roger Hannah to set up WG, as was.
Metcalf will head up WGM’s building surveying department, Webb leads the project management side of the operation, and Godwin is in charge of the education division.
As well as the three partners, WGM employs a further two surveyors and is actively looking to recruit.
The firm’s current projects include a 10-classroom new-build extension at Ashton Sixth Form College, the refurbishment of a fire-damaged industrial unit in Rotherham, and the revamp of a leisure centre in Northwich.
“We are all aligned in our vision to provide best in class service to clients and create a positive culture for our staff to grow both personally and professionally, whilst having a lot of fun along the way,” Metcalf said.
