Walker Sime welcomes director appointment
Gareth Robertson joins the construction consultancy from CBRE, where he was head of cost management for the North of England.
He has been appointed as UK director of quantity surveying with Walker Sime in a move to bolster the firm’s growth. He will be based in Manchester, but will also work across the firm’s Liverpool and Leeds offices.
On leaving CBRE, Robertson has expressed gratitude for his time at the firm and its contribution to his development, after helping to grow the cost management team there across the last four years.
Prior to joining CBRE, Robertson was with Wates group as a chartered quantity surveyor, and Interserve Construction, as a senior quantity surveyor.
During that time he worked alongside Walker Sime on several developments. He will now become part of an executive leadership team, linking up with Tammy Harrison-Round, head of business development, and fellow recent hire Cathy Palmer, head of regeneration delivery.
