TSK hands over Bosch base
Fit-out firm TSK has completed the new office for Bosch Communication Center, the business process outsourcing arm of Bosch Security Systems, in Bruntwood's Plaza in Liverpool.
TSK, based in Salford, helped Bosch relocate from 10,500 sq ft in Bruntwood's Cotton House on Old Hall Street to 17,000 sq ft in the Plaza on the same street.
The move took place in June and follows a significant increase in staff numbers at the Bosch office over the past two years. As well as increasing floor-space, the new base will also deliver flexibility by taking the sales and support teams out of individual offices and providing an open-plan environment supported by shared 'retreat' spaces and meeting rooms. A conference facility is equipped with audio-visual technology for hosting key clients.
John Milburn, general manager of Bosch Communication Center UK, said: "We selected TSK for this project based not only because the team went to great length to understand our needs, but also because of the innovative opportunities the designers identified for us to improve the way we use our space. While this relocation was born of a straightforward need for additional capacity, working with TSK has helped us understand how we can use our space more effectively to support our people and to reinforce the key Bosch values of quality, innovation and customer orientation."
Andy Burke, director at TSK, said: "We believe that, for the vast majority of businesses, a traditional, cellular office space is not the way to get the most out of its property spend. Not only is the per-employee cost significantly higher than with a more flexible arrangement, but it can also be a real barrier to teamwork, communication and morale.
"The contact centre we have designed for Bosch Communication Center is built with the specific needs of the teams in mind so that the right space is always available for any given task."
