Story lines up Longton plot for 140 homes
Full planning permission for the residential scheme is sought from South Ribble Council, with Story Homes offering a mix of one- to six-bedroom homes, while keeping 30% of the properties affordable.
The scheme, to be built off Chapel Lane, will be targeted at a range of potential occupiers, from first-time buyers to downsizers, Story said.
According to the housebuilder, the scheme would deliver £1.7m in community benefits to Longton.
Josh Dobson-Brear, North West land manager at Story Homes, said: “We are excited to bring forward this new development, which will not only provide much-needed homes in Longton but also deliver significant benefits to the community.
“Our previous development, Longton Grange, has been incredibly well received, with the majority of homes now sold, showing the strong demand for high-quality homes in the area.
“In addition to high-quality housing, we are dedicated to improving local biodiversity and supporting the local economy through job creation and increased demand for services.
“By investing in this development, we are ensuring that Longton remains a fantastic place to live for both current and future generations.”
