Shortlist unveiled for North West Regional Construction Awards

Winners will be announced on 5 July during a ceremony at the Hilton Hotel in Manchester.

The North West Regional Construction Awards’ shortlist for its 18th annual celebration of construction excellence has been publicised. The list can be found below.

Those who emerge from the ceremony this summer victorious will be put forward for the National Constructing Excellence Awards in London on 15 November.

The awards are put together by Constructing Excellence in the North West; the School of Science, Engineering, and Environment at the University of Salford; and the Centre for Construction Innovation – with the help of live events agency Clear.

Head judge Peter McDermott, who is also a professor of construction procurement at the University of Salford, teased some changes to the awards.

“This year we have thoroughly revised the categories in conjunction with the other Constructing Excellence regions ensuring that the awards continue to give recognition of the positive impact the construction sector contributes to communities across the North West,” McDermott said.

“Respect for people, innovation, and collaborative working, were the original watchwords – with the drive for what we might now call better social value outcomes – and better environmental and economic outcomes.”

Tickets to the award ceremony are £175+VAT. You can learn more at constructionawardsnw.co.uk.
