Seminar to tackle impact of protected species on sites

Law firm Hill Dickinson and environmental consultants Richards Moorehead & Laing are holding a free seminar exploring topical environmental property issues next month.

The breakfast event on 4 February at Hill Dickinson's Liverpool office is for all those involved with development projects from property developers, professionals, contractors and funders to local authorities and NHS trust estates.

John Holmes, head of planning at Hill Dickinson will speak about Natural England and Sites of Special Scientific Interest. Alan Pugh, construction partner at Hill Dickinson, will address the Environmental Civil Sanctions Order 2010 and practical tips on how to react when dealing with an investigation by an enforcing authority.

Stephen Blunt, of Richards Moorehead & Laing, will outline the legal and regulatory framework for protected and invasive species and how to detect and deter protected species to avoid delay on site.
