Seddon eyes summer opening for 40,000 sq ft industrial site
Seddon Developments is aiming to hand over the first units at a 40,000 sq ft speculative industrial scheme in Bolton, which includes spaces between 1,500 sq ft and 18,000 sq ft, by the summer.
The development, named Top Deck, is next to Seddon’s group headquarters on Plodder Lane, just off Junction 4 of the M61.
It includes 10 industrial units, the largest of which is 18,000 sq ft. The rest of the units range between 4,000 sq ft and 1,500 sq ft in size, and quoting rents start at £7/sq ft.
While it is understood no occupiers have been formally signed up, Seddon Developments managing director Jamie Seddon there had been “a high level of interest” in the units. BC Real Estate and JLL are the retained agents for the scheme.
Gary Chapman, director at BC Real Estate, added: The market has been starved of new and good quality smaller units even though the level of demand is very good.
“Those few schemes that have been developed speculatively have all let or sold very quickly at strong values and we expect that Top Deck will follow suit.
“Bolton is a market with strong regional demand and we’re delighted Seddons have taken the decision to react to that with this scheme.”
