Sainsbury’s sells Haydock depot for £43m

Sainsbury's has beaten the tough financial market to complete a sale and leaseback of its 626,624 sq ft distribution depot in Haydock to clients of Mutual Finance for £42.7m.

The depot is one of four in a £191m portfolio deal, with others also sold in Stoke, Hams Hall and Tamworth to separate parties.

All four were on 25-year leases to Sainsbury's and reflect an average yield of 5.74%.

Cushman & Wakefield acted for Sainsbury's; Morgan Williams advised Mutual Finance.
