Rula secures approval and letting at 30-acre Winsford Gateway
Saint Group has signed a deal for a 27,200 sq ft unit at the Cheshire industrial scheme, one of two sheds totalling 100,000 sq ft that have been granted planning consent.
Rula Developments has secured full planning consent to deliver the next pair of units at the 30-acre Winsford Gateway.
Rula has previously delivered a 168,000 sq ft factory for Tiger Trailers at Winsford Gateway and more recently completed a 1.6-acre roadside petrol filling station with retail amenity for The Kay Group as well as a new 60,000 sq ft storage facility.
McDonald’s, Costa Coffee, Greggs, Subway, and Londis can now all be found at the site.
By agreeing terms at an early stage, Rula will be able to develop Saint Group’s new HQ to suit its needs. Saint Group is currently based at Pineapple Park in Winsford.
Steve Turner, founder and chairman of Saint Flooring, said: “Our business has continued to grow both locally and throughout the UK since its conception in 2008.
“As we embark on further expansion, we are thrilled to be working with Rula Developments to deliver new bespoke HQ premises that will support our future aspirations, safeguarding and creating new jobs while generating new investment for the area.”
A 225,000 sq ft standalone unit and another 74,500 sq ft shed remain up for grabs at Winsford Gateway, as well as six trade counter units ranging from 1,600 sq ft to 3,000 sq ft.
Anthony Clitheroe, development director at Rula Developments, said: “We are excited to secure a freehold build-to-suit agreement to deliver WG27 for a locally founded, successful business like Saint Flooring, supporting its business expansion.
“We recognise that well-located, purpose-built logistics and industry accommodation is in great demand and over recent years we have invested in creating a new and prominent northern entrance to the estate with fully serviced plots for freehold or leasehold occupation.”
Legat Owen and CBRE are the agents for Winsford Gateway.
