Redsun’s Vista reaches practical completion

Located within Hawarden Business Park, phase one of the project has delivered 65,000 sq ft of industrial space off Manor Lane in the North Wales village.

Contractor Portal Construction NW has completed the delivery of the first phase, with phase two expected to start on site later this year to create a further 66,000 sq ft of warehouses.

Designed by architect C4 Projects, phase one has provided four industrial units in Hawarden. Each unit has now been acquired for undisclosed sums.

Craig Booton, director for Redsun, said: “Hawarden is one of the most established destinations in North Wales.

“The support provided by the Welsh government has enabled us to build on the park’s continued success, deliver these new facilities, and sign occupiers up for the entire scheme.”

The largest unit, at 21,700 sq ft, has been sold to manufacturer Belzona Polymerics, while fashion retailer Sisters and Seekers has occupied two 16,400 sq ft units on a 10-year lease.

The final 11,500 sq ft unit has been sold to a private investor.

Legat Owen and Cushman & Wakefield are joint agents for Vista. The occupiers were unrepresented.

Mark Diaper, associate director at Legat Owen, said: “The North Wales small to mid-box market remains extremely robust.

“With organisations including Airbus, Arriva North West & Wales, Carey Glass, Boardlink, and ALS Environmental already based here, this scheme will appeal to occupiers that want modern, industrial accommodation in a highly accessible location.”

The design team for Vista included engineer SGi, M&E consultant Crookes Walker, and flood risk consultant WaterCo.
