Pochin Rische complete Puss in Boots refurb

Pochin Rische, the joint venture between Cheshire-based Pochin's and Trafford Park-based fit-out firm, Rische Group, has completed the refurbishment of the Puss in Boots pub in Offerton, in the Peak District.

Brewer Frederic Robinson appointed Pochin Rische to modernise the pub and restaurant. The contract was worth £375,000 and took six weeks to carry out.

The Puss in Boots had previously been closed for many years and was acquired by the Almond family in September 2009.

Doug Almond, landlord of Puss in Boots, said: "The new offering is very different to the 'disco pub' it was back in the 1980s. We wanted to combine a friendly yet professional service, offering wholesome food in a warm and welcoming atmosphere in order to set Puss in Boots apart from its competition."

Antony Pochin, operations director for Pochin Special Projects, added: "We were given a specific brief to enhance the curb-appeal of Puss in Boots in order to encourage passing trade and present an image of a family-friendly, contemporary pub. Internally, a major refurbishment was carried out to reinvent the profile of the pub from its 'disco days', transforming it in to a modern bar and restaurant. We are proud of our continued involvement with Frederic Robinson and their rolling programme of new build and refurbishment works across the region and we look forward to the new challenges to come."

Pochin Rische was set up in 2010 and brings together two complementary skill sets, construction and interior fit-out, to provide a one-stop-property solution for occupiers.
