PMP appoints Richardson to head Manchester project management team
Michelle Richardson comes to the Edinburgh-headquartered building consultancy armed with an arsenal of experience in delivering high-profile and complicated developments, including the remodelling of the AO Arena in Manchester and the building of the Nuclear Decommissioning Authority and University of Manchester’s nuclear research facility in Cumbria.
Richardson has more than 20 years of experience working in the built environment. Her CV includes roles at Property Alliance Group, Motion Project Management, and Mace.
At PMP, she will head the new Manchester-based project management team. PMP plans to recruit another three members for the team next year, strengthening the Manchester office’s expertise in that sector. In addition to project management, PMP also provides building surveying and cost management services.
“It’s amazing to have someone of Michelle’s calibre join the team,” said Ben Walker, executive director at PMP and head of the Manchester division.
“Her experience and reputation puts her in great stead to build up a projects team and take our office up to the next level,” Walker continued.
“We had our best year last year and to build on that with Michelle and what will be her projects team feels the a great next step.”
Richardson added: “I’m excited to begin this new chapter where I can build on my experience and client relationships, support clients in delivering successful construction projects, and contribute to making PMP Manchester even more successful.”
PMP Manchester is currently working on a £5m cladding remediation project at the Hat Box in Ancoats as well as the £2m refurbishment of No3 Hardman Square.
PMP Manchester is based at the Pinnacle building off King Street and is home to nine staff members. PMP has four offices across the nation and employees approximately 50 built environment experts.
