Plans emerge for Poynton shed redevelopment
Developers Quorum and Chestergate have joined forces to bring forward a refurbished 65,000 sq ft unit at the town’s industrial estate.
The JV acquired the site on the corner of Second Avenue and First Avenue from API Laminates earlier this year and is now working with architect C4 Projects to develop plans for a new-build industrial scheme.
Work on the refurbishment project is expected to complete early next year. The scheme will feature dock level doors and “a large power supply”, the developers said.
It is expected that QC65, as the scheme is known, will provide a “brand new, cutting-edge facility that will appeal to a broad range of occupiers”, according to the developers.
Williams Sillitoe has been appointed to find an occupier for the unit.
“This is one of the very few opportunities of this scale currently available in the region,” said Mark Sillitoe, director at Williams Sillitoe.
“Its strategic location, with strong links to Manchester Airport and the motorway network, will make it highly attractive to both local and national operators and we anticipate strong demand.”
