Introducing Place North

Place North West is expanding across the North

After more than 15 years publishing property news in the North West, we will be expanding to provide coverage of your project milestones and business successes from across the whole North.

Starting next month, the Place suite of dedicated B2B websites for the built environment will expand to include new titles: Place Yorkshire and Place North East.

All three of our publications will be part of our Place North media group, a dedicated brand presenting a Northern voice on the news and highlighting the need-to-know stories in the industry.

In each of its titles, Place will cover every stage in the life cycle of assets and locations, from land assembly and investment through planning and design, infrastructure and construction, to sales and lettings.

Our mission to provide free-to-read, accurate, and timely news will continue. Together, our publications will give all our readers the lifeline they need to be ready for their next meeting or board gathering.

Our newly established property news websites will begin publishing during MIPIM, when the Place team will take the opportunity to promote our expansion at the global property expo.

Dino Moutsopoulos, commercial director of Place North, said: “This is the opportunity that the Northern built environment industry has been waiting for.

“Never has the property market of the North of England had such an opportunity to promote its best practice, developments, and proposals.

Place North provides the built environment with sector news, events, marketing, and business development services.

“We are trusted by both the public and private sectors to deliver and bring people together to create business opportunities. We are very much looking forward to helping businesses up and down the North, from Newcastle to Sheffield, from Hull to Liverpool.”

The team within Place that is leading the Yorkshire and North East expansion includes experienced journalists Neil Tague and Paul Unger. Our clients will be supported by Dino Moutsopoulos and Kirsty Butcher.

Louise Hall joins Place in March

A dedicated new business development manager for Yorkshire and the North East, Louise Hall, is due to join Place at the start of March and will be attending MIPIM.

Moutsopoulos added: “After creating Place North West more than 15 years ago, we have become the unrivalled source of information for the region’s property market.

“We look forward to doing the same for Yorkshire and the North East. In doing so, we will become the Northern property voice, representing anyone in property active in the North and those targeting the region with investment from outside.”

Fantastic news PNW – have felt this was inevitable for some time. Best of luck!

This is great news. With so much development in Leeds and Sheffield at the moment this is a very good move.

Agree with the earlier comments. Great news. Looking forward to that.

I think this is a great idea. I’m especially interested in the Yorkshire version due to the significant developments in Leeds & Sheffield metro areas. That said, I don’t really understand the logic for the whole North West area. It’s clear it’s mostly focused on Manchester & Liverpool and that completely makes sense. Including the extreme north always seemed more of an outdated political boundary rather than any realistic contextual one. But hey, since hardly anything happens up there, I’m not too fussed.

Hi Jo! Thanks for your comment. We do our best to cover the biggest news stories in the region, which does mean Greater Manchester and Liverpool City Region tend to be a large focus. That being said, last week we were in Preston for our Lancashire Development Update and we’re off to Kendal in June for our Cumbria Development Update. If you know any Cumbria projects we should be covering, please do let me know! – Julia
