Peel Land presses on with trio of Warrington Green Belt schemes
A total of 460 homes could be built on sites in Hollins Green, Lymm, and Croft.
Peel Land has this week launched public consultations on the hat-trick of projects, which are proposed on land that the developer says meets the criteria for Grey Belt.
On 26 acres in Hollins Green, Peel wants to build 200 two- to four-bed homes and deliver 10 acres of open space next to Holly Bank Caravan Park and the Manchester Ship Canal.
Ninety of the homes would be delivered as affordable.
The 6.7-acre proposed Lymm development, south of Bucklow Gardens, includes 60 new homes with 27 earmarked as affordable.
Another 200 homes are planned on 20.5 acres at Turret Hall Farm, north of Lord Street in Croft. Like the Hollins Green scheme, the Croft plans would feature 90 affordable homes.
Matthew Stafford, associate director at Peel Land said: “These three schemes directly tackle Warrington’s current housing needs by providing new homes and a higher than normal proportion of affordable housing. The plans also bring greater opportunity for first-time buyers wanting to get onto the property ladder as well as for growing families.
“The consultations are a key part of the planning process, we’re therefore keen to gain as much feedback as possible from residents on the proposed plans.”
Turley, Randell Thorp, e3p, Chroma, I-Transport, Curtins, Iceni, and Walsingham make up the project team.

Yet more soulless, car-centric suburbia.

They should be transparent about the price of these so called affordable houses , especially in these affluent areas of Warrington,

Regarding Hollins Green…. What about amenities?? There isn’t enough doctors, schools, parking space now without anymore houses being built. This is an absolute joke!! Land being sold off for companies sheer greed!!
