Office-to-resi project complete in Sale

A vacant office in Sale town centre has been converted into 80 apartments, by Regency Residential and Intro Developments.

Acre House, above The Square Shopping Centre in Sale, is now made up of 64 two-bedroom and 16 one-bedroom apartments, with over 70% sold off plan.

MCR Property Group was granted planning permission for the office-to-resi conversion in late 2015.

Property agency Regency Residential launched in Manchester earlier this year, led by Chris Taylor, formerly of MCR Property Group. Taylor is also a director of Intro Developments. Both companies formerly had MCR managing director Aneel Mussarat listed as a director.

Regency Residential has also launched eight flats on George Street in Altrincham.

Michael Fenlon, sales and marketing director, said: “We are very proud of Acre House as it was a vacant office building that has been totally rejuvenated into 80 high specification apartments since work started on-site eight months ago.

“Regency Residential sets its self apart from its competition by not requiring investors monies to build any developments; meaning all investors’ money is protected and secure.

“Along with our partner, Intro Developments, we have really thought about what the local area wanted and what the people needed. The result is that we have breathed life back into a building that has a prominent location in a popular commuter suburban town.”

Are we really so short of housing, that we are turning every 60s office block in to flats?

It’s not a bad use of these 1960s buildings, to be fair.

I hope the problematic cladding has been sorted? This should be a priority inspection by the local authority.
