North West Regional Construction Awards nominees unveiled

No 1 St Michael’s in Manchester, a 22-acre African habitat at Chester Zoo, and Limelight, a PBSA scheme in Liverpool are all up for the coveted project of the year gong.

Meanwhile, Morgan Sindall Construction will be hoping to retain the contractor of the year award it won in 2024.

The 19th edition of the NWRCA will be held on Thursday 10 July 2025 at the Titanic Hotel in Liverpool.

The full shortlist of nominees for the North West Regional Construction Awards 2025 can be found below.

Head judge Peter McDermott, professor of construction procurement at the University of Salford, said: “The awards continue to adapt to ensure a continued focus on the positive impact the construction sector contributes to communities across the Northwest. Respect for people, innovation, and collaborative working, were the original watch words.”

He continued: “In 2025, the focus is on both process and outcomes – for examples, climate resilience, ESG, social value and increasing retrofit. We commend this shortlist – if the Constructing Excellence principles demonstrated by the applicants were more widely adopted confidence would be high that the industry could meet the exciting demands being placed upon it by government and both public and private sector clients. We are delighted to be back in Liverpool for the Awards this year.”
