Wythenshawe landlord plans new homes

Manchester housing association Parkway Green has submitted plans for 68 homes in Wythenshawe.

Parkway wants to build 44 two-storey houses, eight bungalows and 16 flats in two three-storey blocks on land previously occupied by 50 concrete 'Orlit' houses off Tuffley Road which were demolished in 2010. Parkway Green New Foxfield

In a statement Parkway Green's chief executive Nigel Wilson said: "This development will provide more affordable social housing in Wythenshawe and help to improve the area. We want to leave a lasting legacy in our communities and this is our biggest new build project to date."
