WHR expands service offer

Manchester-based WHR Property Consultancy has appointed Matt Beddow as partner to head up a new property and asset management team, and has hired Mark Cook as senior surveyor in its office agency.

Beddow was recruited from Stockford Anderson in Liverpool alongside two colleagues, finance manager Sharon Booth, and operations manager Stephen Pearson, who together make up the new property and asset management department.

In office agency, Cook has joined the team headed up by former Colliers International director Rupert Barron. Cook previously worked for the Valuations Office and BNP Paribas.

Last month Anthony Howcroft, former associate partner in WHR's office agency, left the company to return to former employer Hallams Property Consultancy. His departure followed that of Josh Levy, who moved from WHR to Lambert Smith Hampton in December

Gareth Buckley, equity partner at WHR, said: "We have always been committed to the continued growth of WHR investing consistently developing the team. In our mission to provide a one stop shop of property services for our clients, we recognised the importance of having a specialist in house property and asset management team.

"Having just reached the end of our 11th year in business – our most successful one to date – our next challenge is to break the £5m turnover barrier."

WHR employs 28 people.
