What does it take to be an award-winning building?

RIBA North West is hosting an event to celebrate the work of three practices who won RIBA North West Seven Cities Awards and regional special awards this year.

The evening event is due to take place from 5.30pm to 8.30pm next Wednesday 5 December at Hill Dickinson, 50 Fountain Street, Manchester M2 2AS.

Those due to take part are:

  • Ollier Smurthwaite Architects, winner of the RIBA North West Small Project Award for 9 Devonshire Road
  • BDP, winner of the RIBA North West Client of the Year Award for Richard Rose Morton Academy
  • O'Neil Associates, winner of the RIBA North West Conservation Award for Vaugh Steil

All three practices will present their schemes before Paul Unger of Place North West chairs a discussion examining the projects. This discussion will look at their approach to the projects, why they think it is important to enter the RIBA Awards and what winning one means to them.

Registration is at 5.30pm, with the event starting at 6.00pm. Refreshments will be served.

RIBA North West would like to thank Hill Dickinson for supporting this event.

As places are strictly limited please book in advance by emailing anna.johnson@riba.org.

Fees:
