Wates lands school building project in Warrington

Manchester-based Wates Construction has won a £4.4m contract to build a new post-16 teaching and performance arts centre for Birchwood High School.

The contract was awarded by Warrington Borough Council and includes site clearance and demolition work.

Nationally, Wates is increasingly involved in the education sector and won the £280m Luton Building Schools for the Future contract earlier this year.
