Warrington Church Street resi approved

Warrington Council has granted planning permission for 106 homes on a 3.5-acre site within the Church Street Conservation Area in the town centre.

The scheme on a brownfield site will be delivered by Countryside Properties and managed by Your Housing Group. Two former industrial buildings totalling 18,000 sq ft will be demolished to make way for the development.

The 106 homes will be made up of 48 two- and three-bedroom houses and 58 two-bedroom apartments. The estate will be available for private market rent.

Nexus Planning advised on the planning application.

Justin Cove, associate director at Nexus, said: "Alongside Countryside Properties we have worked closely with the local council and community in Warrington to ensure that this scheme will deliver major regeneration benefits and bring a redundant industrial site back into use, to the benefit of the community. The homes provided address a need for good quality accommodation locally and have been carefully designed to assimilate with the surrounding conservation area."
