Vodat signs for 11,000 sq ft Stockport office

Vodat, a provider of private, managed networks to the UK retail, hospitality and leisure market, is to relocate its headquarters to Praxis’ Signal Point in Bredbury.

The company has taken the entire 1 Signal Point building, which comprises 11,000 sq ft of self-contained space. Vodat was previously based at Pear Mill in the town, but sought a more modern base to provide it with room for expansion.

Praxis completed a refurbishment of the building, including LED lighting, new carpet and suspended ceilings, which completed in January.

Cushman & Wakefield and joint agent Canning O’Neill advised Praxis on the deal, with OBI acting for Vodat. OBI is also providing interior design, fit-out and project management for the office, which will be completed in the next few months.

Andrew Crabtree of C&W’s office agency team said: “We are pleased to have let Signal Point so quickly after its refurbishment which reflects the hands-on approach of Praxis by delivering a refurbished specification to meet occupier demand and enable a short void period.

“This also reflects a strong level of demand for this type of accommodation in Stockport and the surrounding area.”

Paul Mills of OBI added: “Signal Point is a great space for Vodat to expand into. The high quality refurbishment of space by Praxis has allowed Vodat to move quickly with us on the design and fit-out for the new HQ.”
