UKLP sells Hawarden unit to councils

UKLP Developments, a joint venture between UK Land & Property and Pochin, has completed the sale of an industrial unit at Hawarden Business Park, Flintshire.

Flintshire and Wrexham County Councils have acquired the 10,074 sq ft unit on a long lease and will use the facility as an occupational health depot.

Hawarden Business Park, six miles west of Chester, is being delivered through a partnership between the Welsh Assembly Government and UKLP Developments. The park extends to 40.5 acres and has planning consent for up to 452,088 sq ft of office and industrial space.

The current phase has achieved BREEAM 'very good' and the park has recently been connected to FibreSpeed, the high-speed optical fibre network.

Legat Owen and King Sturge are joint agents on the scheme.
