Thomas Barnes recruits two

Bury-based construction firm Thomas Barnes & Sons has appointed Chris Snow and Karen Thornhill in new roles.

Snow has over 25 years' experience of business development in the North West construction market and joins as senior business development manager. Snow previously worked at Ocon Construction and Gleeson where he worked as business development director for Gleeson Regeneration.

He said: "I'm delighted to be at Thomas Barnes working on a broad range of building work and hope to contribute to the company's area of expertise in health and education projects."

Thornhill joins the team as business development manager and had previously been the submissions manager at Balfour Beatty Construction. Prior to Balfour Beatty, she worked alongside both Snow and Thomas Barnes' regional director Paul McGarry at Gleeson.

The company, which recently celebrated its 35th anniversary, works across health, education, commercial, and social housing markets and clients include Salford Royal NHS Foundation Trust.

Thomas Barnes employs a total of 100 people and also has an area office in Sefton House on Bridle Road in Bootle, Liverpool.
