Tenders out for £30m Lancaster University Management School

The University of Lancaster has begun the search for a contractor to deliver demolition, new-build and refurbishment works at its management school.

Feilden Clegg Bradley Studios was selected by the university last year as the architect for the 200,000 sq ft project, which will see the redevelopment of the facilities at the Bailrigg campus to create “a world-class and innovative teaching, research and business-engagement environment to cater for the future needs of students, staff and business partners”.

Some existing buildings on the site are set to be refurbished, while others will be cleared to make way for new-build facilities.

The contractor will enter into an agreement for enabling works, demolition, design-and-build, and refurbishments.

It is anticipated that the redevelopment will open by the summer of 2019.

Companies have until 9 January to submit prequalification forms.
