Suppliers named on social housing frameworks
North West-based buying organisations Procurement for Housing and Fusion 21 have jointly announced new contractor panels worth up to £180m covering insulation and heating contracts.
Procurement for Housing is based in Birchwood and Fusion 21 in Huyton. Together the organisations represent 700 members, mostly housing associations, around the UK.
The first of the two frameworks, for insulation systems and materials, is estimated to be worth £150m over three years with the possibility of a 12-month, £50m extension.
The contractors were scored after tendering on the following criteria: cost, 50%, quality 30% and technical capability 20%. Warrington-based CEL (Collective Enterprises Limited) advised on the procurement.

The second framework is for the supply and installation of mechanical ventilation and heat recovery systems and heat recovery room ventilators.
The framework is again run jointly by Procurement for Housing and Fusion 21 and is worth £30m over three years, with the option to extend for a further 12 months subject to satisfactory performance reviews; the option to extend would be valued at £10m.
The tender process again saw bidders scored 50% on cost, 30% on quality and 20% for technical capability.
