The housebuilder is to deliver 60 homes on a 9.1-acre site south of Fulshaw Park, the first part of the redevelopment of the former Royal London campus.
Cumbria-based Story Homes acquired the Wilmslow site from Royal London for an undisclosed sum.
The Westlands plot, located to the south of Fulshaw Park off Alderley Road, has outline consent for 60 homes.
“Westlands is the ideal addition to our growing portfolio and the acquisition is in line with our strategy to expand further into the North West,” said Adam Galleymore, North West land and planning director at Story Homes.
Mike Brassington of Colliers represented Royal London on the Story Homes sale and the agent is also advising the insurance company on its disposal strategy for its former campus.
Fulshaw Park is to be sold and redeveloped following Royal London’s relocation to Bruntwood SciTech’s Alderley Park. The site is earmarked to be converted into a ‘living campus’ and has outline consent for 187,000 sq ft of new-build offices and an additional 120 homes.
A series of technical works are being carried out on the existing buildings at Fulshaw Park in preparation for the redevelopment of the wider site.
