Stobart’s Westlink takes Widnes sub-let

Stobart subsidiary AHC Westlink, a warehousing and rail specialist, has taken 49,845 sq ft at Hale Bank Industrial Estate in Widnes.

Westlink has sub-let the space from previous tenant Decco. CB Richard Ellis's Paul Cook, who acted on behalf of Decco, said: "As big employers in the local area, companies in the Stobart Group are riding the crest of the UK's warehouse and distribution boom. Demand for quality industrial units situated close to port facilities, such as those offered in Widnes, has never been higher."

After a year of acquisitions Stobart now controls road-rail-river modals on both sides of the River Mersey at Widnes and Weston, Runcorn.
