Sisk wins contract for Circle Square apartments
Select Property Group has appointed John Sisk & Son as the construction partner on its £247m Affinity Living scheme at Circle Square in Manchester.
The multi-million pound deal will see Sisk build 677 apartments for the private rented sector.
The Affinity Living project is split across two buildings, and includes 16,000 sq ft of amenity space alongside the apartments. This includes shared lounge areas, co-working spaces, gyms and private entertaining spaces.
Affinity Living is the PRS arm of Select, and is scheduled to deliver 1,800 apartments in Manchester over the next three years.
Circle Square is a joint venture partnership between Select Property Group and Bruntwood. Select is developing the residential component, building 604 student bedrooms under its Vita Student brand, alongside the PRS flats. Vita will open in September 2017.
Mark Oakes, chief commercial officer at Select, said: “With huge growth plans and an ambitious delivery pipeline across the country, we want to work with partners who share the same drive and determination; we believe Sisk are just that. We are looking forward to the team starting on site and seeing Affinity Living, Circle Square come to life.”
Partners who share same drive and determination? Not the cheapest then? Sure they will make a profit on a difficult project…
I would expect agency staff and recruitment consultants licking their lips to get staff for John Sisk to fulfill this project.
By Fancy that
Maybe they’ve sensibly not gone for the lowest price tender and chosen quality and capability?
