Shillaw quits Co-op to join Lloyds

Lynda Shillaw has left the Co-operative Group, where she was head of property, and will take up a role as MD of corporate real estate at Lloyds Banking Group in October.

She joined Manchester's biggest private company from BT in July 2006, and ran a 3,300-strong operational and investment portfolio, 4,900 trading properties and 85,000 acres of agricultural land.

Shillaw also masterminded the 20-acre development of the new 325,000 sq ft HQ and surrounding area in Miller Street.

Peter Marks, group chief executive of Co-op, said: "Lynda has made a significant contribution to driving our business forward in very exciting and challenging times. It was with mixed emotions that she accepted Lloyd's offer but I completely understand and respect her desire to accept this outstanding opportunity."
