Sanderson Weatherall builds asset lending team
Asset valuer and surveyor Sanderson Weatherall has announced a couple of senior appointments in Manchester and London.
Partner Christian Humphreys, in Manchester, and associate partner Lee Joyce, in London, are joining the firm to focus specifically on valuations against inventory and plant & machinery.
Humphreys and Joyce arrive at Sanderson Weatherall from SHM Smith Hodgkinson where they worked together providing valuation services against inventory and plant and machinery predominantly to the asset-based lending (ABL) community.
Humphreys will head a new division from Manchester. He said: "ABL slowed down in the credit crunch but is proving to be increasingly popular because other forms of finance continue to be unavailable to business.
"Sanderson Weatherall has an outstanding brand and history and we very much look forward to focussing on inventory and machinery asset based lending and helping to enhance the popular brand further with new and existing clients."
Roy Tubman, partner at the Manchester office of Sanderson Weatherall, said: "We see the ABL sector as a growing industry and we are very pleased to welcome Christian and Lee with their particular expertise on board."
Humphreys spent 10 years at SHM Smith Hodgkinson and rose through the ranks to be a director and head of the commercial and industrial division.
