RIBA launches model search

Architectural models have always held a key role in the communication of the architecture, whether utilised as a medium to explore design ideas or in the marketing of large-scale regeneration projects.

Despite the advent of sophisticated computer modelling software, physical models continue to captivate and intrigued both professionals and the general public in equal measure.

To celebrate this RIBA North West is inviting architects, designers, model makers and others from across the North West region to exhibit their most evocative architectural models that best illustrate their work. Your submission can be anything from scrappy cardboard conceptual models to the most detailed façade studies possible, the choice is yours.

The 'superMODELS' exhibition will run from 28 June – 25 July on the third floor of The Home Quarter – Liverpool One as part of the Love Architecture festival. Following the submission of models into the exhibit all entrants will be informed via email whether or not their entries have been successful.

The entry form must be returned to the RIBA North West office via email no later than 20 June 2012. If you have any queries, please email the anna.johnson@riba.org
