Redrow on site in South Liverpool

Housebuilder Redrow has started on site with 119 family homes in Liverpool, after acquiring the 14-acre former New Heys School site from Liverpool City Council.

The houses will consist of three-, four- and five-bedroom homes. The site in Allerton previously housed the Enterprise South Liverpool Academy, in the former New Heys School building, until the academy relocated to a new facility at the former St Benedict's Catholic College, in March 2013.

The council said that the capital receipt received for the sale of the land would be reinvested in the delivery of new schools, as part of the city's £169m Schools Building Programme which aims to deliver at least 12 new schools for the city by 2017.

When are they starting on St Julie’s Woolton please? Does anybody know?

Don’t Liverpool City Council only need 11 new schools as they have a brand new one, Parklands lying empty at Speke next to Morrisons? Which they are still going to be paying for for around the next 15 years due to the agreement they are tied into?
