Citypress Continuing our week-long series featuring the people nominated by readers as ones to watch as the market improves. In association with Citypress.

Anthony Dillon / Northern managing director / Willmott Dixon

Anthony DillonDillon's regional division is delivering several schemes for Oldham Council in the borough where Willmotts' Northern head office is based, including two new sports centres. In May 2013, Willmott Dixon was re-appointed sole contractor on the £1.2bn Scape major works framework for local authority new builds and refurb projects, as well as acting as part of the £750m medium value framework for the North West Construction Hub. The firm was also recently appointed to the £10.7m upgrade for Blackpool Victoria Hospital.

Thomas PearsonThomas Pearson / partner / JMW Pearson joined JMW in Manchester January 2013 after four years at DTM Legal in Chester as head of property. He has a particular specialism in the care sector, which he says has proven relatively resilient throughout the recession. Clients include Turnkey Care Homes and Castlemead, and he is currently working on five new care home developments across the North West, ranging from 50-bed to 90-bed schemes. Pearson is also advising residential developers on smaller bespoke sites across the region.

Michelle LeftonMichelle Rothwell / senior surveyor / CBRE

Rothwell joined CBRE as a graduate in 2010 and moved into the office agency team after completing her two-year training cycle. Since then she has risen through the ranks to become senior surveyor in April 2014, with a client list that includes Peel and Bruntwood. She has also gained respect for her feats of awe-inspiring physical fitness, including cycling from the Marble Arch in London to the Arc de Triomphe in Paris, the youngest ever to have completed the race.

Richard LamingRichard Laming / director / Turley

Laming joined Turley in 2013 from GVA as head of the firm's new economic planning team. Laming advises clients on economic viability of developments, with demand steadily increasing across the region as local authorities implement their core strategies and local plans and landowner clients including Peel jostle for position. Turley is advising on some of the North West's biggest regeneration projects, including the £150m Cains Brewery redevelopment and the Anfield stadium expansion, both in Liverpool.

Paul Daye P3Paul Daye / director / P3 Property Consultants

With the sudden departures of co-founders, office specialists Peter Gallagher and Phil Meakin, earlier this year, Daye is now driving the company towards a purely industrial agency and development offering. Daye is advising online retailer Hut Group on a 650,000 sq ft acquisition and continues to act on Wilson Bowden's Kingsway in Rochdale. The thriving industrial market could make the move to a singular focus for the practice a stroke of lucky timing for Daye rather than the potential management crisis it could have been.

Euan Kellie / director / Euan Kellie Property Solutions

Euan KellieEx-Drivers Jonas and Turley double-qualified chartered planner and surveyor Kellie established his own firm in 2009 and has quietly built a busy portfolio of work for Allied Irish Bank, Galliford Try, Thor Specialities and Warrington and Cheshire East Councils. He is currently advising on three proposed developments in Manchester city centre along with a major project at Salford Quays. He recently secured planning for Galliford Try on a £4.4m resi scheme at Ellesmere Port and 1.7-acre development in Ribbleton.

Andrew DickmanAndrew Dickman / director / Barwood Developments North

Dickman joined Barwood in August 2012 from Patrick Properties where he was managing director. His first task was to establish the North West office for the company, in Manchester. Barwood then bought the 107,000 sq ft Manchester Green office scheme near Airport City and was selected by Halton Council as a joint venture partner for the 11-acre Venture Fields site at Widnes Waterfront. Dickman's focus is on 'cradle to grave' property strategies, and with Manchester Green now undergoing a comprehensive refurbishment and landscaping programme to attract big name tenants he looks to be a steady hand to guide the scheme into its next phase.

Matthew Ashton and Mathew Giles / directors / MgMaStudio

MgMaStudio was formed in October 2011 by architects Mathew Giles and Matthew Ashton, who both graduated in Liverpool and worked together at local studio A2 Architects. Current projects on the pair's books include the refurbishment of a grade 2-listed townhouse in Liverpool's Georgian quarter and the bespoke fit-out of a duplex apartment in a converted mill in Manchester. The sociable pair have made themselves a popular addition to the Liverpool property scene playing an active part in organisations such as Professional Liverpool and hosting 'Prosecco Fridays' at their Water Street office.

Jamie OJamie O'Brien / partner / Malcolm Hollis

O'Brien heads up both the Manchester and newly opened Liverpool offices for Malcolm Hollis, the surveyor. North West turnover rose by 13% in 2013. He is directly involved with managing the dilapidations requirements for a number UK property fund companies and occupiers including Threadneedle Investments, Bruntwood Estates and Telereal Trillium.
